The annual Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Awards recognise companies and individuals for achieving excellence in health and safety at their workplaces. Jointly organised by the WSH Council and the Ministry of Manpower, close to 1,400 representatives from industry partners, associations and unions turned up for the event in celebration of the achievements at the Resorts World Convention Centre on Tuesday, 30 July 2019.

Guest-of-Honour, Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Home Affairs, reaffirmed Singapore’s commitment to provide workers with among the safest and healthiest workplaces in the world. She emphasised not to let our guard down and to keep WSH at the top of our minds. With an expected upturn for the construction sector spurred by mega projects over the next decade, she encouraged companies to hire or retain higher skilled and experienced workers, and to help newer workers adapt to their work environments and build their WSH capabilities.

The awards affirm us of our efforts in the areas of safety and will spur us on to do even better. Winning the WSH awards serve to benchmark our Company’s Safety & Health performance with the industry, and help us to stay focus towards WSH Excellence. This was a remarkable achievement for the organisation.

Congratulations and well done to all those who contributed in one way or another to this milestone achievement!
