Teambuild first-ever basketball competition was the final event of the intra-company EV competition. The competition was held on 28 Nov 2010 at Teambuild’s own Punggol Secondary School project. With everything to play for, more than 50 staff from the various EV groups came down to battle it out for ultimate glory of becoming overall champions of the EV competition.
 
In a reversal of the futsal results, Team Co-operative came out as winners and Hardworking were runners-up whilst Flexible and Dedicated took 3rd and 4th place respectively.
 
With this result, Team Co-operative was the overall EV Competition Champions.

This year’s futsal challenge was held on 17 Oct 2010 and was part of the on-going Teambuild Intra-Company EV competition. Being the second last event to determine the overall champions, the tournament was played in much enthusiasm between the 4 EV groups.

After 4 hours of intense competition, Team Hardworking emerged as Champions with Co-operative in second place and Teams Dedicated and Flexible making up the rear end.

This year, Teambuild Group’s Care-2-Share grocery drive program was held on 28 & 29 Aug 2010. With the strong support of our staff and their families and our business partners, we successfully raised enough funds to purchase 1,500 grocery bags for the needy. Each bag contained daily necessities including rice, cooking oil, salt, sugar, health beverages and canned food.

Teambuild staff and family members, together with business partners, carried out the distribution of 1,000 grocery bags to residents based on name lists provided by NorthWest CDC and SouthEast CDC. The distribution for SouthEast CDC was conducted over areas such as East Coast, Marine Parade, Joo Chiat, MacPherson, Potong Pasir etc, while distribution for NorthWest CDC was done at Fei Yue Holland Close & Fei Yue Teck Whye Seniors Activity Centre.

We hope that our staff who participated in this program also benefitted by being reminded that in the midst of our hectic and busy lives, there are those less fortunate than us and we should take time to help others in need.

Today, more than 200 Teambuild staff and their families were treated to a movie screening of “The Karate Kid” starring the always fun-to-watch Jackie Chan and the son of actor-singer Will Smith, Jaden Smith. The story tells of an American boy, Dre Parker (Smith) who is being uprooted to China where he is picked on by a pack of bullies when he falls for Mei Ying (Wenwen Han) only to be rescued by Mr. Han (Chan). While romance blossoms between the 2 young stars, Mr. Han teaches Dre kung fu as he is enrolled in a martial arts tournament to end his fued with the bullies.

Before the movie started, staff dug into a buffet style dinner at the foyer and Teambuild’s “Model Employee Award” (MEA) for 2nd quarter 2010 was presented to Ms. Vivian Ong (collected by Ms. Serene Lim).

In the second event of Teambuild’s Intra-Company Competition series, Team Cooperative beat Team Flexible to the championship, gaining sweet revenge for their earlier loss to Team Flexible at the Prawning Competition 2 months earlier where Team Cooperative was the runner up. This now leaves Teams Dedicated and Hardworking some distance behind in the competition series.
